Three dead hunters

I read in my local paper tonight that three hunters have died in Idaho this week. One was shot at close range but nobody is coming forward yet, one died of unknown causes near an elk he had killed, and one drove off the road and was killed. They put all of these in the hunter deaths column but the only one that should be in my opinion is the guy that was shot. The other one was probably a heart attack and the driving accident involved drinking. Someone out there shot a hunter and hasn't come forward. Kind of scary! Could be a stupid accident or it could be a right wing PETA member. Who knows! Hopefully the rest of the year will be accident free.

There are no Right wing PETA members only far left wing militant PETA wacko's.

"We MUST Hunt"

The only hunter I know of who has been shot this year is the whitetail hunter between Idaho Falls and Rexburg. Shot by his hunting companions in the river bottoms while deer hunting. Four of them were in thick cover shooting at running deer, and were NOT wearing hunter orange. Has there been another?

The guy by his elk should qualify as "hunter death" shouldn't he? He was definitely a hunter, he definitely died.??? The mysterious one should be a homicide investigation, but it still happened while the guy was hunting!

I don't know the details because I am getting this from a Washington Stae paper that is 700 miles away but it said all three of these incidents took place in the Panhandle in the last week. The guy shot was not wearing orange but was wearing red and black checkered wool coat and hat. In my opinion, if a guy dies hunting it should only be included in hunter death statistics if it was caused by hunting (like being shot). If he dies of a heart attack or vehicular accident it should be under natural causes or driving stats.Otherwise you have a lot of things thrown in that aren't hunting related. Just my opinion.

The fourth would be my uncle. I just found out a couple hours ago that they found him. He was hunting in the South Hills outside of Twin Falls and had been missing since Monday afternoon. He had a massive heartattack probably Monday sometime. They say he was dead before he hit the ground. He was still holding his rifle and he had hit his head when he fell and there was no bleeding at all. At least he died doing what he loved doing. He was a great guy.
