At the Cabela's Antlerfest last year there was a guy selling an antler staining kit - he did a demonstration and it looked like it worked great. Does anyone know where you can buy it or another good antler stain ???

Yeah, the stuff is called "Wild Antler Magic". They sell it on their web site wildantlercreations.com I think it's about 30 Bucks or so for the kit. I've never used it personally but it looks like it does a pretty good job of bringin' back the bone.

Go to Home Depot and get what even color you want in wood stain. I promise it will looks great.

I recommend the "Wild Antler Magic", too. They got it figured out and the kit has everything you need. One box will do about 40 large(2 pounders and bigger) deer antlers. Then after that all you have to do is buy the bags of mud mix. I know it makes the hard whites turn into No. 1 Browns and fools the best of them. I haven't done any Elk Antlers and I know he has a certain stain just for them.

hikenhunt,
If you have anyquestions about our Wild Antler Magic you can give me a call. Plus they also sell it here in their online store as well.
Thanks Wes

I would thin out some antler stain you (can buy it from any taxidermy website) I prefer Vandykes but paint spray or whatever you want with it snd let it dry. After you have this base color, then take it out in the mud and rub it in the dirt, bushes, trees whatever and stain it up naturally. If you rub mahogany branches on them it works the quickest and gives good color.
