Unit 72 Antelope - Land Owners

My son and I have applied for antelope in Unit 72 and have a pretty good chance of drawing.

I've mapped the couple walk in areas and I've got a list of Land Owners from Fish & Game.

However, we would really appreciate any help anyone would be willing to share when it comes to the walk in areas. We're willing to pay a minimal trespass fee but not sure which of the many land owners to call.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would call the Casper office of WDFW and ask to talk to Justin. I didn't get his last name but he is the bio for that unit and the surrounding ones. I was thinking about putting in for a unit just south of there and Justin was very helpful. He can tell you all about the Walk-in areas and maybe help narrow down the landowner list to the better ones. Call them, they are usually really helpful but can be hard to get ahold of since they are out in the field.
72 is supposed to be a good unit, you should have no problem finding a nice buck.
Good luck to you.

you wont need the private land the public art the north end of the unit holds plenty of antelope. we hunted 71 last year and we saw a ton of antelope in 72 on the public ground.

Myself and three other buddies hunted that unit, and we all had good antelope bucks on the ground by 8:30 opening morning. PM me and I will give you names and numbers!

southslope82 and oneaway,
Check you inbox I sent you two a pm.

Thanks for your willingness to share some info, my son and I are pretty anxious.
