I'm aware it a long shot this late in the game! I'm heading out next week to unit 83 chasing elk. Was curious if anyone knows of any local guys that provide a packout service. We are going a few miles deep and would be sweet to have someone lined up for a packout! Thanks!

My opinion on any archery elk hunt is the later the better. It seems that the elk rut later and later every year. They'll be rutting during muzzloader season but personally I wouldn't want the extra competition.

Muzzloader is always the 3rd weekend of archery. The dates are just a bit later this year due to archery starting August 31st (the last Saturday in August). They wont change the season structure until next year.

I called the Denver office and that's what the lady said was going on. Freaking ridiculous!

They are currently switching to a new computer system administrator to alleviate the issues that keep happening on the site. I'm hearing this could take up to a month to transition to the new admin and even longer to see any tags on the list. Wish they would figure it out I need a deer tag!
