It's a toss up. In 2007 we killed four bulls opening day of the general hunt and in 2010 I killed my best bull.

I have to agree. I have hunted this unit all my life(30 years). I would like to know where all these deer are.

Just got my 2015 Book Cliffs buck back from the taxidermist. He looks good. Thanks to Monarch Mountain Taxidermy for doing an outstanding job.

I haven't put a tape to him. Took him straight to the taxidermist. I will post them when we get him measured.

Joey, I am having the velvet preserved. He is real close to 29", I didn't get a good measurement. I took him straight to the taxidermist, didn't want to handle it until it was preserved. Chris

On the fifth day of the Utah archery hunt I was lucky enough to come across this buck.

I also have an archery tag for the Books. I know the area somewhat, but could always use any info that people are willing to share.

+1 on the Under Armour Speed Freaks. I bought a pair last year and love them. I would highly recommend them.

I have always thought that this is how the dates should fall. Give the archery hunters the 1st three weeks of September, then let the muzzleloaders hunt for 10 days, then the rifle hunters. I think if you took the rifle hunt out of the rut you would save a few of the big bulls. Right now they...
