Great looking bear, were you up there just to hunt Grizzly? What unit did you hunt? Congrats!

Put all of them as #1, if you are doing the same hunt 6 times.

What is an Open Registration area? Anyhow... you can hunt in any of the seven mountain ranges in Alaska with a general harvest ticket. Best of luck.

Taj now owns Island Air, and I'd highly recommend him! We just did a DIY Brown Bear hunt and deer hunt through him and it was great! So were the previous trips I've done using him as our pilot. Best of luck! Kodiak is great!

I'd book with Jonah's Alaskan Outfitters. Never heard of the other one you mentioned. Jonah's record is incredible and he doesn't take many hunters. Best of luck.

AO or a Cabelas Guide Series with aluminum poles for a base camp. Hille for spiking out. All depends on weight restrictions and such as well... Four of us will be staying in this come August while hunting Caribou up north... It worked great last year for three people, just bring a few...

You can never have enough tents... I had one when I lived in Idaho. Now that I live up here, I have 6 and want another :) I'd take an Arctic Oven to Kodiak for a base camp, you can use that tent for moose fly outs and even bou if weight isn't too much of an issue. Then bring a smaller 2 man...

I got a good goat tag and a moose tag. Can't wait. Best of luck to you guys.

Be careful folks, caribou bag limits are changing in MANY (Kotz, etc.)areas for NR this coming fall. I can't see the fly out's being very cost effective anymore considering you can only take one bull... So do ample research prior to settling on an area.
