What’s the best day back for shed hunting. Looking for options for single day trips for packing elk antlers on.

I have 23 points for deer and 9 for elk. Even with that many points for deer the odds of drawing a great deer tag are slim but like they mentioned earlier someone has to hit the lottery. Keep putting in and playing the game with the rest of us. Good luck.

What in your opinion is the most coveted mule deer tag in Nevada? Area? Archery, muzzleloader or rifle.

Been a rough first week for my youth hunter. Lots of miles on the boots and hours behind the Binos has turned up very few does and two little bucks. Lots of people everywhere. Would appreciate any advice as we only have a couple more days we will be able to hunt. Thanks in advance.

Was down there Monday and Tuesday. Have hunted this unit plenty of times over the last 25 years and this is by far the worst we have ever seen it. There were people, vehicles and side by sides everywhere. Hiked a few miles back in to where we usually have some luck and no deer around this year...

Thanks hevishot. Yah have spent alot of time up high and glassed a bunch but cant turn anything up thats worth going after. The weather was terrible the first three days. Maybe that had something to do with it to. Today was cold and clear but still couldnt find much.

Anyone been out hunting this hunt and having as hard a time as us in finding the bulls? We have hunted for 4 days and cannot find a descent bull. For such a popular hard to draw tag the bull elk population is poor. Just curious if anyone is having better luck than us or if this is just a down year.

Its hard to believe he is still that big after so many years, if only the other side matched. I agree i wouldnt shoot him either. How high of goals do you have and what size bull are you willing to settle for?
