It’s the last hunt in 49, after the over the counterDeer hunt, after the controlled Bull Elk Hunt and after the open 2500 cow elk hunt. The Fish and Game put this hunt out, to make more tag sales and money. I know guys that hunted it, but be prepared for a hard hunt, a lot of Bulls high and timbered up after 5 months of continuous over lapping seasons. What the fish and game won’t tell you was that most of our older age class bulls died from the harsh winter 2 years ago.

I drew this tag last year, and took my first elk/bull. It was hard. Be prepared to shoot as far as you comfortably can. Beg/borrow/steal a snowmachine and and snow shoes otherwise you're gonna be piddling around.
