Suppressor wait time

Just ordered and did all the paper work for one. I’m a little curious what amount of time people are waiting. From what I’ve gathered anywhere from 5 months to a year.

I have 2 from July I'm waiting on. Most seem around 10 months to a year

Got mine in October, it took 10 months, my buddy got approved the end of November, his took a year, my cousin’s been waiting a year and still doesn’t have his.

Sounds like the new (upcoming) ATF eForms system is expected to speed things up….but it probably won’t help those currently waiting

I been waiting since March. My dealer said back in september they were starting to approve his January 2021 then ATF still takes a a month or 2 to send the tax stamp and forms. My friend just got approved at 312 days. Like silencer shop says. Just forget about it through the approval process

My first can took a year. I have been waiting on two more right now. It will be a year next week. When I bought the last two they said we have been getting some back in six to eight months. Well I guess thats not the case for me. I would say plan on a year !

You know i have heard this to. My dealer said most of his clients are 6-9 months. Should of done this 12 years ago when the wait time was 3 months

I’m a little over a year. Of course, I also moved to another state, so who knows when I’ll actually see the thing. ATF said at this point I’m better letting it finish going through, then deal with the change.

2021 was a good year for me on selling suppressors. Even as a small dealer i sold 375 suppressors. The last 2 months, I'm noticing approvals are averaging 10-11 months.
Early in the year when the work from home was the norm, I was seeing approvals averaging 6 months, and a lot had been in the 4 month range.
Im hoping with the upcoming Eforms that the backlog will be cleared up.

The trusts seem to be taking longer. Most of my clients are doing trusts incorrectly and listing more than one person. Extra paperwork, extra finger prints is making them take longer.
