Buddy Heater 4000/9000 BTU

I am taking my 10x10 Kodiak and using my Buddy Heater. It will be warm enough at 4000 but setting. I'm going for 3 to 4 days. Is one 20lb heater going to be enough ? It should be I would think but what have you guys found out who have used one ?

Have both and. my buddy heater uses up one 1bs bottle every 4hrs and the big buddy on high uses up both in about the same time. You should be good with the bigger tank. When in doubt better to have an extra.

Used my little buddy on low and used a 5 gallon tank in 5 days. That's about 9-10 hours a day.

I think I use a 4 or 5 gallon tank (bbq size) in my 10x14 tent. It’s always been enough, even for 9 days. If it was super cold, I’d run it all night on low, but usually didn’t need to. Would just wake up 10 minutes early and fire it up on high.
For 3-4 days I think you’ll be plenty good.

Thanks for the info everyone. Has been stressful getting things ready. Put new doorkock actuators in Silverado along with brake switch. Headlights on King Quad are out must need new fuse. Badlands Coat missing among other things need new chains in case of snow and door pins and bushings on Silverado. Very excited for going though. With daylight savings time there will be a few hours every evening before bedtime to stay warm and mornings to make cocoa and breakfast. We are taking two tents so one will be for camp chef and meal prep.

I had brake lights on after shutting it off and it happened several times. Once it was really cold and was dead in the morning. Charged it up to 100% and brake light switch changed out. Dead again so I guess it will need trouble -shooting. It is a good truck with lower miles and just can't pay the price for a new truck.
I'm sure the battery won't be salvageable as it is around mid-teens every night.
I dream about some good Elk meat now. The Kimber .270 is shooting a nice tight group as always . I didnt hunt for Deer this year just too busy helping the wife with garden finishing stuff, winterizing trailer and many other small things. I told Mrs we are downsizing the garden next year we are filled up with too much food storage.

Sharing something I found out : Buy the filter as the hoses will leach oil into the heater and ruin them. Buddy Heater hoses are better but other hoses will leach oil Into and shorten the life of your Heater. Of course if you use those expensive 1 lb cans no problemo !
