That's not a 2 point any way you look at it but that's my opinion. I've shot smaller.
He has a g3 on one side but not the other
His g4 one one side but the other side it might not make a inch
So you would loose them in a net score
So g1 and g2 are the only storable point
The other is main beam
The cheater points are scored for nt

I never understood why guys don't count the brows and some get very offended when ya do.
Must be a utah thing, but back east they call it a 11 pointer.

But any how still a pretty buck. 6x5 by my standards if I counted right
I would definitely call that a 6x5

A forky with eye guards isn't a 3x.
Agreed, it’s be a forky with eye guards and I would call this buck a 5x6 and would shoot him with as many points as it takes because I only hunt Nevada and I’m not saving points for a trophy I just want to hunt as often as possible

Even a whitetail you should not count the main beam as a point

As a non typical as a typical it looses anything that doesn’t match on the other side
Why in the world would anyone want to ever field judge a buck like that as a typical. It's meaningless and seems like being concerned about a net score on a buck like that is way over thinking things. Good discussion though.

Just pointing out that scoring a buck doesn’t do the buck justice
I’d shoot it and be dang proud of him

You're absolutely right, that's why everyone I know never uses a net score when talking about what a buck scores. The only time a net score should be talked about is if the buck makes the record book with it's net score.

I tried to get my son to shoot a buck similar to that one on the second to last day of his Colorado hunt, but he wouldn't do it.
He ended up killing a toad on the last day so I'm glad he didn't listen to me.
Cool buck though.
