Wasatch Archery Elk Pictures

I was lucky enough to draw a Wasatch archery elk tag at the expo this year and was hoping somebody would be willing to share pictures of bulls they have taken on the unit. I have a pretty good idea from the reading I have done as to what my expectations for the unit should be but it's always fun to see pictures of what people are seeing or have killed. It's never too early to get excited for a hunt.

Last years bull for a client

The first picture is a bull I took on the Wasatch 10 years ago. I hunted hard for 18 days and this is the only bull I was able to get a shot on. I shot him on the last day at 9am, recovered him about noon that day. The second picture is a Wasatch bull I helped the hunter kill that same year. I called the bull in, but he hung up about 90 yards out. The hunter crawled to within 30 and put a great shot on the bull. Piled up a hundred yards down the mountain. The last photo is my son's Wasatch mid-season bull from 4 years ago. There are some great bulls on the Wasatch, but we usually don't hold out for a giant. We are opporunity hunters. If we have a good shot, on a good bull, we take it. As you can tell. fstop
