608 (1) Except as provided in Subsection (2), this bill takes effect on May 3, 2023.
609 (2) The actions affecting the following sections take effect on August 1, 2024:

Governor Cox has until March 23 to sign it or veto it. If he signs it or chooses to ignore it, it will become law and take effect on May 3.

As of a few minutes ago, Governor Cox's website is showing this in the list of signed bills.

Very happy the governor stood up to special interest groups that aligned with anti-hunters trying to get him to veto this.

Governor Cox just signed into law the most significant wildlife/hunter/fisher law of my lifetime. Bravo, Mr Governor. Bravo!
