Anyone have any sets out?
We just got started for this year and 1 problem beaver down, 40 pounder.
Checking sets in the morning on our coyote and bobcat traps and hoping for another couple of beavers in the creek.

It's actually looking up this year. Beavers, and we hope our western bobcats will be worth putting up. They are saying might be a
market for the best coyotes too.
We'll be sending our furs off to FHA and see next spring what they bring.

I gave up trapping three or four years ago.

Felt like I got screwed on every pelt unless it was an XXXXXX large cat.

How much are you hoping to get out of those beavers? 37 cents haha

Having said that, trapping is a fascinating hobby and I learned a lot doing it. Keep telling myself I should go try to catch a lion. I like my chances if I could find the time.

Not very well marked or spotted. Usually just a uniform gray or brown coloration over most of the body. Small cats with little to no markings are worth very little.
Our cats rarely have spots on the back, just the belly. Good belly spots = good money.
Those Southern bobcats tend to have more spots on the back from what I've seen.
Nice cat and good release !

We have about 30 sets out now, covered in snow I fear. Checking them in morning, with blowing snow too I bet, ugh.
Hoping the lack of snow up til now means the coyotes may still have some guard hairs.

Nice tom !!
Wish we could trap mt lions, not looking forward to having to let one go.
Our small pile ready for sale , or auction at FHA. Going to keep the beavers we caught.

I believe we can fix that for you WyTex.

This is an official, by a non-official, but just as official, none the less. Does that make sense?

Please bring your traps to Utah. I’ll personally, put you up, no charge. I’ll pay for your fuel while you’re here. I’ll cook for you keep you well feed. I’ll check your traps, if you need to run back home for any reason, I’ll insist you keep every lion you catch. No limit on the number you can trap and keep.

Any interest?
