Great buck! My first 3 deer (Whitetails in MN) were all shot with my Grandpas 300 Savage. Very cool.

Mine this past fall in Colorado was killed at noon basically. Spotted him mid morning bedded and by the time the shot was fired it was noon or so. Also happened to be 85 degrees that day, November 3rd. Election day. Man, that was a hot week during the full moon. :p

Anyone been around the Miles City area in the last few years hunting? Heading there and taking my pops along in 2022, mid-November. It will be a guided hunt, but I was just curious on the herds out there from a health/numbers perspective.

From my perspective, I would think more trips with your son/family would outweigh any other option. Plus with those points, its not like you are going to a poor area either. You can still turn up a big one at any moment.
