2022 has been a great year, I killed my first buck in October. Then I had a early rifle bull tag and tagged out on the 2nd day. Then my dad had a late rifle bull tag and tagged out on the first day. Heres some pictures of our hunts, hope everyone else is having luck ass well!!

Hunted it these past 2 days, saw 2 shooter bucks and seen the biggest buck I have ever laid my eyes on down low at grafton. I kid you not this buck was at least a 190 inch buck. We saw him next to the dirt road and by the time we wanted to get off the truck he was gone into the thick junipers...

Hunt high!! Takes alot of snow to really push the mature bucks down in elevation. This is my brother buck from 2 years ago in that area. According to draw odds on go hunt I have a good chance of drawing the general season deer for this unit. Question is anyone who has hunted it for deer have any knowledge of what this hunt is like and expectations?

Im a non resident with 3 general deer points. I went to look at the draw odds on go hunt and it says I have 0.0% chance of drawing Pine Valley with 3 points and somewhere around 80% of drawing if i had 4 points. It this the thing they call point creep or something else

Those 3 units produce monsters every year, Any of those choices is worth the 18 points in my opinion. I have hunted 221 and I have scouted 231, saw big bulls in both areas

I got a cow in the 2nd day of my hunt, shot it at first light in the flats close to a water. If I had to make a prediction is the herd came down to water during the night and they were heading for higher elevation right at first light

Ive hunted the unit but in september, in August water will be your best friend. Find the water and you will find the elk

Its a junior tag so its valid from august to the beginning of november but we weill be going for the rifle season so we plan to go all october

Anybody have pictures of bucks in that unit? Trying to see what I can expect this fall

My sister drew a cow tag in the same unit for september and my cousin drew a buck tag so we will do plenty of scouting there this summer and right before the hunts if I see any bulls ill be glad to share info with you

Only had a cow tag this year and filled my tag on the 2nd day of my hunt, meat in the freezer :)

Seems like we are the only state in the west that doesnt have otc big game tags.

I have never hunted bull elk in my life and I want to start next year, I hunt with a rifle and im leaning towards colorado otc. Any of you hunted colorado otc? How was it and what do you guys recommend?

Yea thanks for the help, the bulls and cows should be together at that time of the month so it will make it easier to locate the cows if the bulls start talking
