This is an innovative idea. Actually really cool idea. I wonder if that would actually work. It would be pretty crazy cause youd have to pump the water so far up hill the costs would be astronomical I would think. But a really cool idea!

So I’m wanting to get a 6.5 prc not opposed to any other suggestions but don’t have a huge budget. Kinda looking for a wife/kid deer rifle. I know the prc is a bit heavier recoil then the CM but my wife shoots a 270 now and I believe its Comparable and if it had a muzzle break it would cut down...

Here is an idea. Whatever model they are using to count deer... throw it out and figure out how to accurately count them.

That may be the case for landowner associations on LE units. But general season land owner deer tags can’t be sold.

That’s a limited entry unit and I am not familiar with the workings on that. They have landowner associations on that and it may be diffeeent. But I know you cannot sell general season landowner tags.

Really...sometimes your own advice is best. Utah doesn’t work that way. Cwmu operators get tags to sell as well as the DWR puts some out for the draw process. Thats the incentive to allowing public on your property with cmwus is you get tags to sell or use on top of the ones in the draw...

Landowners cannot sell their landowner tags. You are referring to a Cwmu if that’s the case It is for immediate family only.

Yes because a lot of times those landowners get deer etc on their property in the winter/spring and not durinG the hunts. They are still allowing those deer to utilize their property and it is there for the deer to utilize. Also there are some areas that don’t normally get deer but in drought...

In all honesty it’s down right now. Still some good bucks to be had but you gotta get lucky. it’s been over hunted the last few years and that late muzzleloader Hunt has taken a lot of top end bucks off the unit. there are easier to draw units that you can have success in.

It's weird it's not the lack of seeing deer that has me bothered but lack of sign. No tracks no poop just nothing. Its baffling for sure. It's like there isn't any deer on the unit.

So my group has hunted a lot of country the last 2 days and aren't seeing any sign of deer like not even tracks. Saw a few does tonight but tracks and sign are very very scarce. We have hunted the following Transfer road Shavano valley Sims Mesa Rim road Divide road We hunted around Snipe...
