It’s a little disappointing they are proposing increases in deer tags again. I was in some of these units last year and how they are justifying more tags is beyond me. I started to have some hope last year when they reduced them in a bunch of units but so much for that.

Pretty much. I’ve done ot with a non res buddy the last few years. I spend a lot of time looking at how many tags/applications from the prior year’s draw just to add one in there’s a little better shot.

The way I read it is depredation bull is in the same pool as regular antlered bull.

They rejected the increases in some units (northern washoe, 15 and a couple others) but left the increases in 6 and 10 is what I got. I missed part of it though.

Idaho fish and game killed a bunch of them three years ago, they called it a “depredation process”. It was political. I had a tag in there the following season without knowing that. Numbers were way low. There’s still elk in there but not close to what it once was
