Unless you are able to pattern the deer for several days or weeks prior, the ambush tactic seems to be very tough. Not that spot and stalk is easy by any means, just seems to be more successful with way more action and opportunity. Just my opinion and experience.

I drew a late archery tag in 194-196. I really could care less if I drew a tag because neither of my kids drew ANY tags. I wish Nevada would allow every kid that put in the opportunity to hunt deer with the junior tag. It really is disheartening and disappointing.

As a lot of others have said, depends on if it was early in the hunt or late. In Nevada, if I have a tag that has snow on the ground like that, I'm probably hunting a late season tag, and I would keep looking for a few days.
