It’s not a completely unlimited hunt but I assume you are correct. In driving through the area, I’m guessing about 3.2 blinds per water hole! Ha. That’s fine. I’m not much into fighting the crowds. I’ll wait and hunt the end of the season and probably not in the more popular areas. I love...

Anyone hunting 46/47 with a bow this year?? Interested in trading some info......I've hunted them in 6 different states, but never with a bow!! My preference is to get away from as many people as possible and spot/stalk them

Yes. Seed numbers are the same. If there is one NR tag, as soon as a NR draws that tag, the rest of the NR applications are worthless.....any further tags could only go to RES applicants

Correct. That listed number is the starting point for the tag allocation. The closer your application number is to the lottery number, the better your odds are.

I disagree partially...I have drawn several Utah tags with only a handful of points. An antelope and two deer tags......and all were of higher quality than most hunts in WA. Washington's system is better than some states....but the management of wildlife, in general, is worse than most...

Agreed!! The point game is a failure in general.... and WA is worse off than most states. A youth just starting out, or a new hunter, is at a huge disadvantage

I too apply in many states for the chance to chase a ram.....and may never get it. But my 14 year old drew out in Oregon on his first attempt!! A 166 5/8 Californian for his first big game kill........its all downhill from there

Hello all, my mid 70's father finally drew an elk tag. The later of the two rifle tags in 44. He's in relatively good shape but says this is his last hunt....sad to say. What kind of bulls should he be targeting in this unit given his age and lower mobility compared to most young hunters...

My mid 70's father decided he was up for one last elk hunt and burned his points on the Sled Springs unit. Rifle hunt. He's pretty excited and the rest of family is rather nervous. He's in decent physical shape but has some limitations due to some major heart work he's had done over the years...

Congrats!! Although I can't help on that specific sheep unit, my 14 year old son drew the Warner unit tag a couple of years back. My best advice is to scout as much as you can and get good at judging size....this could be your only shot at a sheep!! The other tag holders with us shot too early...
