I know the nw part of the state has a major cwd issue. My buddies deer tested positive. We also saw a number of very sick looking deer in archery. As mentioned, I'm sure tags allocations and predators have helped keep the numbers down as well.

A single pin also lets you dial the exact yardage.... however I have not shot the 3 to 5 pin sights with a floater so I don't know if they have exact yardage at long range.
