    Colorado archery mule deer

Thanks for the reply. I'm going to give it a shot. A 150 inch velvet buck would do me just fine. Are there any good streams to fly fish on public land near by?

    Colorado archery mule deer

I posted in Colorado forum, but no response so I thought I would try here. Hey guys, It's been a long time since I posted on here. I figured that this was the best place to ask for advice. I was fortunate in drawing a 21 archery deer tag this year. Unfortunately, I have not been able to scout...

Hey guys, It's been a long time since I posted on here. I figured that this was the best place to ask for advice. I was fortunate in drawing a 21 archery deer tag this year. Unfortunately, I have not been able to scout it this year. I drew in 2015 and spent some time near Douglas pass and...

    The SFW Winning Bid Proposal

Has anyone considered going to the news stations with this? It could be a PR nightmare for SFW. I'm so sick of the backdoor deals and buying political votes. Utah is in bed with the some of the most crooked people when it comes to our wildlife. I'm not sure how you present this to the media...

    Harvest or Hunt?

I don't think some guys are getting my point. So I'll state it more clearly. I hunt to kill every time I go out, however I feel that we need to make it more of a hunt instead of just see, point, kill. Just my opinion.

    Harvest or Hunt?

I've been thinking a lot about the recent decisions by the fish and game to change the rules and allow scopes on muzzleloaders. Anyone that knows me, knows I choose to hunt with a bow. I made that choice, because I enjoy being able to hunt longer. I also enjoy the challenge of the hunt...

    Disappointed With Colorado unit 21

I just got back from a scouting trip in 21 for archery season. I guess I bought into the hype all these years. I probably saw 25 bucks total, and that was with putting a lot of miles on tires, legs and eyes. I'm thinking about turning in my tag. Does anyone know where the bucks might be...

    Bear bait Utah

Hi Monstermuleys. I hate to do this, but my plans to bear hunt Idaho this year fell through. Work. I have been collecting bait for a couple months. I have several bags of unwrapped hostess sweets, and 8 buckets of Rotted peaches. Trust me this combo works really well. I've killed 4 bears...

    Best Taxi for Deer Mount?

I would say try Kelly Memmott and Ben Nielson of AAA Taxidermy in Pleasant Grove. They have done all my big game mounts and they are great guys to work with. Ben runs the day to day. His # is 801-735-6072.

    Utah Point Creep

Grizzly, I agree with you 100%. I think if you had more primitive weapon hunts, you would move more people through without hurting the resource. In my opinion, there is no reason to have the most effective weapon during the rut for elk. It limits the resource. look at the Wasatch unit...

You know he used Springville meats, because I said they do good work. They have butchered 6 animals in the past for me. I have never had a problem. However, for them to claim that an animal was spoiled. Then to have to argue with the owner over it. All of a sudden 180 lbs show up. I don't...

I was able to help a friend out on his Wasatch Moose tag this year. It was a cool experience. He ended up killing a good bull with his bow, right in front of his wife, my daughter and me. Good times! the moose actually ran to a road and died right next to it. Awesome luck. We were able to...

    Bull poached-East Canyon

I believe it would be considered poaching, because the trail is the boundary for the unit. It is also a watershed, witch means no livestock. If this story is true, then they poached, trespassed, and broke the watershed laws.

Wasatch archery kill, or no kill?

So I had two close friends with Wasatch archery tags this year. They both put in a tremendous effort. A couple passed bulls, a missed shot, Fog, rain, strange weather, and a sheep herder pushing through while we sat a wallow. I would like to know how many guys tagged out, and how many kept...

    Trail Cameras

I have used Moultree, and Tasco. They both take good pictures. I use them all the time in Idaho for bears. They're a ton of fun looking at all the critters coming to the bait. One thing to consider is a lock box. I have had 2 cameras stolen in Utah, and an sd card. I'm not sure why people...

    Gunnison buck

There is no reason to have this hunt extend past regular hunting seasons. The deer don't just magically appear after the hunts are over. They are there the whole time. You just need to HUNT for them.(Crazy concept, I know) If a hunter is worth his salt, he should be able to kill a good buck...
