My wife has a muzzle loader tag for this unit next month. It’s been years since I’ve been there. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After a long hard hunt we finally came across this buck. He is only the third buck we saw the whole hunt. He is a 22 inch wide 3x3. What a great hunt.

Shot this buck on opening morning of the Muzzy hunt. Made a bad shot on him and looked for the next 4 days. Finally found him on Sunday. Lost all the meat and the cape. I was pretty sick to my stomache till we found him. Any guesses on a score?

Went down to unit 30 this weekend and stayed in the high country. We camped by Baxter Pass and found only a few deer still up high. Anybody have any insight on why the deer have moved off already?
