Anyone get lucky and draw the Antelope Island shed hunt? I'd think there should be a good chunk of whites there but it probably gets picked over pretty good.

I would hope they do that rather than give the majority of tags during the mid season rifle hunt.

Missing mid season and the late archery. I think late season is only 3% of tags. Tried to find the correct percentages but can't find then on the dwr website.

It will be spread out. They have a certain percentage of tags per hunt type per unit....I believe the mid season hunts give out the majority of tags so that hunt will gain more tags if I'm not mistaken.

The general spike hunt is now the same dates as the mid seaon LE hunt

I'd say that's different because the animal could have been poached so the dwr asks to investigate and I believe most deadheads found get returned to the finder. You find me a study or even anecdotal evidence on the ungulates dying from the "masses" of shed hunters then we can have a different...

Guides are the downfall of hunting. Too many of them. People need to stop being whimps and hunt for themselves.

Do you really thinking dozens of shed hunters are out pushing deer at once in one area? Exactly my point. Control, control, control. Power grab. What studies have they done on shed hunters killing deer? Utah makes more money for "conservation" than again...all the western states...

First, believe it or not, not every shed hunter/hunter is social media hungry and likes to brag about stuff they find or kill. Second, I didn't compare which is more important. I implied that deer undergo far more stress from dwr studies than your normal shed hunter and the But just step back...

According to the big game coordinator himself utah has more deer with collars than any other state. Probably more than all western states combined and they chase them down with helicopters, shoot nets at them, collar them and set them free....and yet they're still alive? And you mean to tell...

Anyone know of anyone that got caught back in in 2017? How much was the fine? Or what's the penalty? Is it really enough to deture people from hitting the hills?
