I drew a rifle elk tag for these areas, I have a little knowledge in this area of the state, but any help would be appreciated....

I bow hunted it last year and have a bow tag for this year. I hunted on the west side of the wilderness. Lots of deer, but nothing big. If you hunt in the wilderness, you should do well. I have thought about hiring a packer to take me in. I know it would be a blast. I will post again about mid August with an update...

Hey you drew an elk tag, not a deer tag! Congrats!

I sent you a PM on the deer hunting in 81. I do know that there are quite a few bulls in the NE corner of 81. At least that is the rumor. I plan on scouting the area for deer, if I see any elk I will be sure to let you know.
