101 deer,,,with a bow

Just curious,,I've been trying to draw 102.....
As a non-res with max points,,,,,,,,,,LONG ODDS!
I'm really only interested in hunting archery in September,
haven't been in 101 much, but if I drew I could spend a lot
of time........And I would be happy with anything 165+...
Is it doable??? I would love some input before applying.

In 2010 bowhunters from UT must pass the Wyoming Archery test to bow hunt here.

Too many wounded deer from UT archers.

The test is only given once every 10 years and I don't think anybody passed it the last time it was offered. But hundreds tried...

It it were me, I'd spring for the extra $$ and apply for the non-ressy special tag for 102. The draw odds last year were 15%.

Thanks DW,,I've talk to some oil field guys and decided 101
is out..........Just going to wait for 102.

Hunted 101 a few years back. Saw some good deer during the archery season. Tough country to hunt with a bow due to how open it is. There is spotty cover here and there (Pine Butte) and some of the lower benches and valleys do have scattered PJ (pinyon-juniper)

Would be happy to share info, if you are still thinking about putting in for 101. It was a fun hunt.

But for this year my fall hunting schedule is filling up fast.
I'm going to use my antelope points with my son this year in
Wyoming and just buy the point on deer...maybe next year.Thanks.
