My son drew a youth tag for the South Republican. Anyone have any insight into the unit? Thanks.

Congrats. I'm sure he'll do well.

From highway 385 east to the Kansas border, the river bottom is almost all public land. You can camp at Bonny State Park, or go farther east to Hale Ponds.

If you go out there now, the tom's should be vocal.

Great tag, there are lots of birds all around bonny. The east end of the dam, or the west end near the inlet are good areas. P.M. if you like.

That is what they say. But - you will see a lot of white out there. My wife shot one that was more white than a merriams I shot in the mountains.

I asked the game warden and he said it doesn't matter...they are rio's.
