119-2 archery

Anyone have experience in unit 119 during archery or the early oct buck tag? Are the deer low enough to find them in Sept archery?

There will be some local Deer there in September May have to go higher up in the forest but I have seen them in the lower country. If you get some storms they will start moving down for the early October hunt especially towards the end. I have hunted the Archery, early October and the late hunt in that unit have always seen Deer but your best chance for a big one is definitely the late so I wouldn't be to picky on the earlier hunts.

Thanks. I figured there were deer in there year around but obviously more on that late hunt.

You?ll want to hunt as close to the agricultural areas that you can. That's where the resident deer will congregate.
