I’m sitting on 16 nonresident elk points! I’m an avid bow hunter and would prefer the backpack style hunt. I will be doing it solo. Just curious what units are my best options for a great elk hunt. Thank you.
 
It sounds like Unit 76 is right in your wheel house! As long as high elevation works for you and you can get an elk out of there solo.

For your point level, that's pretty much it, unless you want to go down significantly in point level and hunt 49 or 66 or go to 40 (probably not a backpack type hunt) or change weapons. For archery, there is only three hunts from 7 to 23 points for non-resident archery: 76, 40 or 851. Colorado just doesn't have many draw unit options.
