2013 tag numbers ?

I have been building points for a few years (18) and I am thinking of cashing in. My question is there any way to find out how many NR tags are going to be issued this year before the application deadline? using last years tag #'s is to risky!

For which specie are your 18 points?
A little extrapolation using last years numbers will help.

If you go to www.biggamedrawodds.com you can bring up the unit and species that you want to hunt as a non-resident. It should have the last several years of statistics so you can see how the tags and applicants have trended. This isn't perfect science like you said as there is no way to tell how many tags they will give but it should educate you enough like the rest of us and let you put in for the unit you feel best about. Good luck in your draw!

Sorry, they are Elk points. I'm getting close but I still can't draw the best unit in the state. But hopefully I will have a shot at the top five or so. Just sick of point building and I want to go on a hunt in the famous beehive state. We don't get elk that big in Wyo :0

Last years numbers are a guideline, but the only thing you can know for sure if there will be at least one NR permit available for a specific hunt. That was decided in the November RAC December Wildlife Board process. Final permit numbers for 2013 will be set in the April RAC and May Wildlife Board meetings.

There is no such thing as a sure thing in trophy mule deer hunting.

random, there needs to be more than one permit, for the points to start paying off.
