I feel very fortunate to have taken this nice Wa buck this past weekend. The mule deer herds in this state are in pretty rough shape, but there are a few good ones left. Just need to hunt harder, smarter and have a little luck on your side. Always amazing what you might find by getting a few miles off the roads...

Yeah, those tracks were something to behold. He was an absolute giant of a buck (body size). Would have been nice to have weighed him for curiosity sake, but he came out the hard way on a packframe...
