31 Mule Deer

Lots of great bucks hitting the ground. Wondering if anyone has had any success in 31?? Have a deposit on a 3rd season landowner tag for next year.

Just returned from Unit 31 with a unfilled Bull tag. Didn't expect to see many elk and didn't get disappointed. Not many deer in the areas we were in, saw 6 does and 1 buck, but of course most of it was public land. A private ranch leased to a bunch of Texans who didn't see a deer either. as of Monday.

There were a few tracks, but numbers are not anywhere near what I wish they were!

Much of the land owned by Oil companies are not hunted for years but still not helping out the herd much...

Thanks for the update. Do you think the weather played a factor in the lack of sightings?

Could have helped, with more snow up top to push any laggers down. Also, could have helped with spotting and certainly tracking. It has been a big time drought this year, so dry...

We didn't cover parts of the unit, as you know lot of private. I am slightly optimistic, but we should be seeing more deer in general. Kill those predators!!
