I have a 72-75 late cow tag and was unable to scout earlier this fall due to some health issues with my wife. I am hoping to go over mid month. I am an experienced elk hunter and I am healthy and can hike but will be by myself don't want to over do it. I am looking for some basic starting points/canyons to start in. Got any suggestions?

Try Tabor Creek in 075. Friend was there last week on deer hunt and saw quite a few elk. Keep an eye on the private land boundaries in 075. Quite a bit of it. Great campground at Tabor Creek too.
