I was out helping to guide my dad and Aaron on there Arizona 6a muzzleloader cow hunt a few weeks ago. I did have my buddy Chuck for a few days to help shuttle the two gentlemen into there blinds. Hunting seemed a little tougher this year .Aaron's 75 and has a few health issues . He broke his back in a accident and fell outa a tree stand . HE'S A TEXAS boy and is pretty tough. After 40 years of putting in for elk in Oklahoma and never drawing a tag we finally got him to put in here in Arizona. This is his second Arizona cow with a muzzleloader . My dad did get a shot on the second to last day but we couldn't locate his elk . We did find another elk that must have been shot the hunt before . There had already been a big bear on it .It was quite a challenge to get his big cow in the sxs . De-boned meat weight was 179 Aaron boned out his own elk while my dad and I hunted to the last day.
