I have a unit 40 archery deer tag this year and I have been scouting since after elk season. I have seen a few does but they were in town. I have spent the last 3.5 days driving glassing and walking glassing and have yet to see a deer. I could care less if it was a buck or doe. If i can find the doe then I have a good chance of a buck being there come January 1st. Is this normal for eastern NM mule deer hunting or am I doing something wrong? Sorry for the rant just feel like I am wasting a lot of gas and time.
