Anybody been out this fall ? I am thinking of making the trip to see what's running around. Is there anything BIG left to be seen out there ? Are they rutting ?

Went out recently for a sort of pre-rut inventory... unfortunately it was the day of the bison roundup so the deer were in hiding in parts unknown. Saw one big mature buck at a distance too far to tell exactly what he was. But, big, wide and heavy... Looking forward to a drive out there tomorrow and/Saturday...
Summer was slow for bucks... Only one bachelor herd consistently near the campground. Random sightings of a buck or two along the east side besides that throughout summer.
The rut action hasn't been as good in the last 3-4 years IMO. Hoping this year they'll be back in some common rutting spots

It's already starting... Guides claiming bragging rights and flat brims before the season even starts... Do you think they may have been from the WLM crowd undercover? Hoss you're in the know always.
