Alexus' 2016 Late Muzzleloader Buck

Alexus has put an exclamation point to the end of her great hunting year by downing this very nice late muzzle loader buck in Nevada. This guy was in with a really nice 4 point and about 30 does & 10 small bucks. We decided to try and put a sneak on them and try for whichever buck presented an opportunity first, but we were busted at about 150 yards. We let them go for the time being and went for a drive to see if we could glass anything else up. Not having any luck there, we circled back around to where the bucks had disappeared to see if we could relocate them. We glassed up a few does and smaller bucks at about the last place her buck was seen and thought we should take a closer look. Low and behold, there he was!!! She made a great double lung shot on him, off hand, at about 50 yards. We couldn't be more proud of our girl! She is turning in to quite the huntress!!??

I had a late muzz license in likely that same area over a decade ago. Shot a buck that looks almost identical to that one, same short G2 on that side. But mine is a touch smaller, about 28" without the sticker.
