Almost Turkey Time…

Almost time to arrow another gobbler. Followed these guys to their roosting area a couple nights ago and caught them the next morning. Found the hens too.

My place doesn't seem to have any...so probably gonna have to head to the forest.

For whatever reason areas I've seen birds in the past simply didn't produce any activity last year. And everywhere else I looked turned up empty too. Will be ready to try new spots this year while keeping tabs on old areas. Best of luck to all.

My last few turkey hunts ended in 20 minutes after the birds in the roost always go the other direction. Then it turns into a shed hunt while shlepping around a shotgun.

An oldie but a goodie.

These boys had a couple hens up in a thicket they were following. Gobbling at every sound they heard.

Set up a blind in the forest where I’ve been seeing birds. About 9 am I had this gobbler and about 8-10 hens come in. I played with the camera and got some pics then missed him clean….32 yards…lost my arrow too.
