another oak creek south

i know this has been posted quit a bit in the past but this situation is a little differant. my father in law drew the late season hunt for the unit. and his health has went down hill the past year. i told him when he put in for this area that this unit was not the best for a big elk. but he does not care he wants a chance at an elk does not care to much on size. i was wondering if anybody has hunted it in the late season what to expect that time of year i have explored it during the winter coyote hunting and seen some elk and plan on doing most of his scouting for him this year.but that was late january not sure if they will be in the same spots in november.i am not trying to make this sound like a charity case i just know how usefull monstermuleys can be i have helped some people with some wasatch moose tips and general elk tips and they sure seamed to be very thankful. some info on what to expect and what your thoughts on him being able to atleast see some bulls would help thanks in advance

I drew the archery tag this year for Fillmore Oak Creek South. I'm not exactly sure whether the elk will be in the same places in November as they were in August and September but I'll try and give you some ideas on where to start looking. I'll be in the unit probably 2-3 times a month starting about the 3rd week in May. Keep in touch and we might be able to cross reference our scouting efforts! Good luck!

Hey desertpointbrian and scrillznac, may cousin and i drew this archery tag last year. We scouted all summer and spent lots of time on the mountain during the hunt. Im willing to share what we found and the spots we found the bulls we say elk every day we were there . It is a hard archery hunt but it can be done. If you want let me know and we can chat

Brian, Good luck helping your father-in-law!! I still hunt with my 74 year old dad. Frustrating sometimes but also very rewarding too. GOOD LUCK!!!!
