Probably similar to coyotes and bobcats. The coyotes won't mess with a big tom in a trap, but will kill and eat a smaller cat. Wolves in a pack will kill a lion if they can catch it. Lone wolves wouldn't have much of a chance against a large lion.

Finally the Mountain Lions are killing wolves.

Dang wolves have been killing litters like crazy since their introduction. Must be taking some plays out of the African cats book..
