Hello

We are looking to draw an antelope tag this fall and are looking seriously at 90(2). Anyone hunted this unit have any observations or opinions? We have 2 points and it looks like putting in for the special draw gives us about 75% chance of drawing. The reason we are looking at that one is the late hunting dates. Our schedule works best for a hunt in about early to middle October. Lots of other units are closing about then. Also, we really like public land and good access. Sounds like this unit has that. We have killed good bucks before and are looking for high 70s and better bucks and don't mind going home empty handed. The trophy quality has been good here traditionally we are curious how it has been the last couple with all the oil and gas activity. With the mild winter is this shaping up to be a good year to draw? As we are a long ways from Wyoming any help/advice is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards

There are nice bucks there, and winter been good this year so far, there is lots of oil and gas activity and lots of traffic, drill rigs, ect, in most of that area, I wouldn't call it a quality hunt in that respect, but its up to you

90-2 isn't your quality, trophy hunt. There are quite a few lopes, lots of traffic from gas development, and some nice country but don't expect a big buck. If you want a 14" decent mid-70's this is a fun hunt.
