Hey, everyone,
Semi-new resident to Nevada. Long story short, been a rifle hunter since I learned (in Alaska moose, black bear, brown bear, musk ox, etc) Nobody I hunted with used archery. But, over the last year or so I’ve slowly been picking up archery (for the better draw odds and more opportunity).
Anyway, I was curious about people with bow hunting experience in Nevada: Are you mostly spot and stalk hunting in most units or does anyone employ sit and wait/ ambush tactics?
In conversations in bowhunting/archery forums a few people have suggested that as I improve in skill, ambush/sit and wait would be much more feasible for finding success as I learn.
Anyone here made the switch from rifle to archery? I’m kicking myself for atleast not picking up that skill when there was plenty of live practice available.
Thanks for any thoughts.
