Archery Bull

After a long archery season, I couldn't pass this bull up on the the 3rd to the last day. It was a tough hunt with 16 straight days of rain and not much rutting activity throughout much of the latter 2/3 of the hunt. It started out good and I passed a few bulls I should've taken (320's and 330's) but I was optimistic that it would only get better. I had a good time chasing the bulls that did a little talking and this one was definitely hard earned as I put alot of miles on the boots. Congrats to those that were successful on this 2011 archery elk hunt, as it was a tough one. Hope to see more pics of successful hunts and good luck to those getting ready to chase them around with smokepoles and rifles.

mb, Ya we got soaked too. 80% snowcover on hike in. Just glad we only wasted 7 days before the weather broke. We were in unit 45.

Sounds like you had a good hunt, the end results show that you got a nice bull, The rain has been rough in area's, Now the cold weather can come in and get the rut kicked off better maybe.
