So I've been bowhunting for several years now for deer but not elk due to inability to get away from work in September. Well I have recently gone through a career change so I am thinking about switching to archery for elk next year(2016), since my cousin is coming down to do a rifle hunt with me this year. I've done a little research on hunter numbers, harvest stats and what not and kind of narrowed it down to either the McCall zone, brownlee zone or smoky-Bennett zone since I still want something within reasonable driving distance of boise for weekend hunts. I guess I'm just trying to see if anybody has any input or opinions into which zone I should look into. Thanks in advance, Andrew.
