I just saw something on American Fox News about Trudeau. How long will Canada put up with liberal politics? Maybe that is what Canada wants. Are Canadians tired of it like Americans? If you are Canadian, I would really like to know your opinion.

I hunted in Alberta last year and I'm going back again next month. Everybody i met absolutely hates Trudeau. I was treated great by everybody, i mean great. And that was by guys i was hunting with and their friends. They are truely a great bunch of guys up there! One guy couldn't wait to move to the u.s when he retired. They like our freedom and ability to carry and own firearms.

Did You Tell Him About Biden?

Kind of funny, but those guys were on top of U.S politics. They are fully aware that Biden is almost as big of a p.o.s as Trudeau.

I have nothing against Canadians. They have been our friends for a long time. There seems to be some problems between Alaskans and Canadians, that I don’t understand because I don’t live in either place. Maybe it’s like Wyoming and Colorado?

I used to be. Still have lots of family and friends that are. Many Canadians have been frustrated with the politics in Canada but there are simply more that support the liberal left’s socialistic ideologies. This has been the case for over 50 years and just inches further left every year. The left has more votes than the right, as a result the left has more control over the country. Over the last fifty years, as the left has shifty ever so slowly to the left, it has pulled the right slowly left too.

When all you have ever known is socialistic institutions, even if you are a conservative, those institutions are all you have ever lived under, you too begin believing they are an okay way to live, because that’s all you know. So, many conservative Canadians have never known a life without government medical care or life without a handgun. So, when all they’ve ever known is a life without that freedom they don’t see it as much of a loss when their government outlaws something most have never owned or even cared about already. It’s the same with medical care. When all you’ve ever known is a six month wait for a CAT scan or an MRI you believe that’s normal. Even the conservative Canadians, after 50 years of living like this will most likely say, “it’s okay……..if we are really really sick, we can get services”.

The bottemline is, there are more liberals than there are conservatives and over time the conservatives become less and less conservative in their believes, without recognizing they are doing so. It’s actually so subtle most don’t even reolized it’s happened.

Yes, it’s true the conservatives in Canada are still conservative but not as much as they were 50 years ago. Are the frustrated and even angry at times. Absolutely. Would they vote against the liberals, yes they would but it’s frightening and very alarming when you can see how far, even the conservatives have drifted left.

Unfortunately, I see the same things happening in the US that I have already seen happening in Canada. It takes a tremendous effort not to slowly allow ones self not to become more and more dependent on the governments cookies for seemingly insignificant liberties.

Thank you for your response. I agree with your opinion on American society. Hopefully and luckily, American voters will vote in their best interests. Best wishes for Canada.

It doesn't matter who votes....it only matters who does the counting.....
That scares me, it must now be a huge majority. The country must say we’ve had enough. If we don’t win this one it is over, for our children and grandchildren and ??

I’ve never heard of this and I live in AK.

I appreciate your response which I don’t understand, I’ve only been using this site a couple of years. I would really like to hear from any Canadians if there are any to respond.
Look at BCBoy as Twitter. He could cancel you if he disagreed with you.

I was pretty proud of Canadians when they had their trucker rallies. Then Trudeau took that right away without a fight. They're just like us.
Yes they did. I’m very concerned both the Canadian and the US governments learned too much about the average North American over that deal. ☹️

That's only eastern Wyoming. Here it's Wyoming and Utah.

And they had their bank accounts frozen so they couldn't even feed themselves.
It took decades to condition Canadians to allow that kind of behavior from there elected officials. Enough Canadian citizens believed the government did the right thing. That didn’t happen over night, it took 40 years, at least, of little by little steps to condition Canadian voters to support the Liberal Party to do what they are doing.

If that pattern of behavior doesn’t look and feel farmiliar to every American right now, you either support it or you’re burying their head in the sand. I’m wishing not offend my American friends, neighbors and patriots here in my new country, which I am very grateful for, but I’ve seen this before and it makes me as nervous as I can be about our mutual future.

Call me Chicken Little all you want…….. but I’m more worried about American voters doing what Canadian voters have been doing than I am any violent government take over. We’re voting ourselves into bondage, sure as hell.

Exactly!

It might not take forty years. Hitler changed Germany from a democracy to a dictatorship in twenty months.

Canada seemed to me to be a lot like Colorado. The cities were liberal and the rural people were very conservative. (The people I met while hunting). But there are more voters in the cities.

I asked a guide in Saskatchewan if had to register his guns and he said they were supposed to but none of his were registered.

I had a guide in British Columbia that had a handgun in his pack that he pulled out every night for a little bear defense. I asked him if was allowed to have that and he said no. So the people in Western Canada didn’t seem to be paying much attention to what Montreal wanted.

I also heard things similar to what 2lumpy said about socialized medicine. If you had something serious like a heart attack or cancer you could good treatment. But if you had something like torn rotator cuff that wasn’t going to kill you it could be a year before you could get treatment. They had friends who had money that would go to the US and get treatment and pay for it themselves.
