Area 25/26 Mule Deer

Any MMer's with experience in the Flat Tops? Not looking for specific areas, just wondering if there are any big-time deer here and what the country is like in general. Can a person walk in a couple of miles and have some space? Are deer numbers decent? Did last year's tough winter hit these deer, too?

hunted elk there. A lot of traffic. I would guess if you can put the miles in you could have succes. I saw 3 decent bucks 1 mile off the road in 1st rifle this year. But like I said there are a lot of outfitting camps in the area. Be prepared to walk if you want a good chance at a good buck high up. As for snow I would guess it got hit bad too. by the way its beautifull country, but its rugged
