Arizona fees

How many of you guys that usually apply for Arizona elk did not, or just bought a point this year? How much do you think the odds, and applicants will change with the "upfront" fees. I think there will be alot of people drop out, but not very many with 5 plus points. $746 is quit a bit of money to come up with right after christmas. Maybe a bunch of people with more points than me (10) will just buy a point and let me have their tag.

I always apply for the tag..

I have a seperate account just for hunting, stick the refunds back in if unsuccessful. If I draw then I use other money for hunting but leave this account alone.
Anouther way of doing it is have 1 CC with about a $10.000 limit and use it just for the draws. With the $2000 Wy sheep, New Mexico $3000 sheep, Nevada $1200 elk and sheep you can max it out fast...

This has come up several times and from what I've seen and read, not enough people drop out to even make it noticeable. People always seem to find the money.

I agree that people who have been applying for years and have a "bunch" of points will find away to put in . I know I did! I would think their would be a few that just apply for points where it is $600 cheaper.

I managed to "find" the money for elk, and probably will for deer, but will just buy a point on sheep and antelope. Wonder what will happen for '09.
