Astroturf in dog kennel

I keep my dogs kennel on the grass in the back yard, and I have the thought to put astroturf in there in kennel. Does anyone had any experience with astroturf, and about what it cost?

The best kennel set up I've ever seen belongs to a hound dog guy I know. Its about 8 stalls, all custom chain link with a concrete floor and a tin roof. He built a platform out of angle iron for there dog houses to sit on with a small area to lay down. The floor is sloped like a shower pan and the whole thing has its own septic tank. He has a small booster pump and a 1 1/4" hose.... takes about 5 minutes to clean up the chit

I have mine on treated 2x6 that I hose down after picking up the dog crap,all the piss goes under the boards, once a year I lift them up with the Bobcat and clean under them, Works great and hardly any smell with this setup.
