Here are some pics of the SWEEET bul my niece got this year on a LE unit here in UT, she drew with 0 points, turns out that wa the easy part
my brother spent a couple days looking before i showed up. i arrived to the news of a couple good bulls spotted but no cows.
we looked high and low but could not find any herds. this was the common theme. over the course a 4 days we spotted 14 bulls and 0 cows. my niece passed up a broke up 6 point on day 2 and the following morning i glassed up 2 bulls feeding in a burn over a mile out, 1 bull looked like a shooter so i got my brother in position after i bedded them in some thick burnt cedars. after a about an hr wait the bulls stood up to switch beds and that was all it took for her to make the decision he was good enough.....1 shot at 408 yards and she pancaked him on the spot....it was a good day to say the least....great bull...i think she was the only one not sweating that we had not seen alot of elk...always a smile on her face and a upbeat attitude.
this is the view from where the bull was bedded. she threaded a bullet from the far ridge....the words "pancaked him" was the common theme for the rest of the day.
