AZ January Bow Hunt

If I do not apply for a 2008 tag but want to hunt the bow season in Jan. of 2009, I may purchase an OTC tag and license at that point, correct? The hunting license is for a calendar year right? So, I'd buy a 2009 hunting license? Thanks!

Yep. No matter what you do in 2008 come Jan 1st you will need a 2009 license and tag.

Go for a Javelina tag at the same time. It is the most incredible time to be in the desert, hunting pigs and deer. The terrain they inhabit over=laps big time and chasing pigs with the bow is one of the highlights of the hunting year in Arizona.
